Chapter 130. It’s Over Now, Kitten
Avery’s POV
Ethan slowly drops the gun and speaks into his spy earpiece. “Everyone, back off. Now.”
No.
Retreating footsteps sounded behind me, and I knew we were now alone.
Jake starts to pull me up the stairs, the gun still pressed to my temples. Tears blur my vision, and Ethan follows slowly, three steps away from us.
“Don’t come closer. I mean it!” Jake threatens, pressing the gun harder against my temples.
We come out to the ship’s deck through the door, and I feel lightheaded when I take in the sight of the dark sea waters surrounding us from the view of the low ship’s railings. Ethan stands at the entrance of the door with a clenched jaw as he stares at Jake’s gun that remains pointed at my temples.
“Tell the helicopters to leave.” Jake orders. “Now!”
If the helicopters left, we would be in serious danger! Without a second thought, I turn my head and sink my teeth into Jake’s exposed arms.
“Arghhhh! Let go!” I sink
