Chapter 50. Excellent Cook
Avery’s POV
There were a few seconds of silence before I heard an “okay” from him. I sighed. “I am so sorry—Ethan! Oh my goodness! What are you doing?” The apology on my tongue slipped into surprise as my gaze fell on the cutting board. Ethan couldn’t dice carrots!
“Oh my gosh, just focus on being a billionaire businessman; you are not really, really, cut out for cooking.” I said, pulling him aside.
He had cut them into unrecognizable, big-sized shapes, and I was now tasked with cutting them again.
I soon got over the cutting and started cooking. I felt his gaze on me from time to time, which left me feeling dodgy. He soon walked over and stood behind me, even increasing whatever tension I was currently feeling.
“What are you doing?” I asked, trying to make light of the butterflies in my belly from his undeniable presence behind me.
He didn’t reply and only tied my hair backward with a handkerchief. “Helping around in the best ways I can.”
