Chapter 61. Oldie

Avery’s POV

I shook my head at her offer. “I appreciate your offer, but no, thank you.”

Her smile froze, but she quickly composed herself. “There is no problem.”

Seeing that they couldn’t get a lot of information from me, they started discussing random topics among themselves. I received a text from Ethan.

[How is the tea meeting going so far?]

I hid my smile and texted him back. [Boringggg😭]

[Kitten, why are you crying?]

[Do you want me to pick you up? Are you feeling unwell? Is it the IUD?]

I received two messages from him at once, and I didn’t know if I should laugh or even cry. Ethan didn’t understand the use of the emoji and sent me two texts in a row. I felt my lips pull up in a smile as I stared at the text. It felt cute to see this ignorant side of Ethan. I texted him back.

[I am fine, you oldie.]

I was still waiting for his reply when I noticed the pavilion was quiet. I looked up; they were all staring at me
