Amelia’s POV
“Do I look okay?”
Adrian asked as he adjusted his watch for the tenth time. Then he tapped his fingers against his thigh. Then he glanced at his phone. He didn’t check it; just looked at the screen like it might explode in his hands.
His foot was bouncing, his gaze moving between me and the front door like he was debating whether to go inside or flee the country.
I stared at him. “You look fine.”
He turned his head slightly. “Are you sure?”
“Yes.”
“Like, sure sure?”
I fought the urge to roll my eyes. “Yes. You’re great. Fantastic. The pinnacle of boyfriend perfection.” I gestured toward the house. “Now, do you want to stand out here all night, or do you actually want to go inside and eat dinner with my mom?”
Adrian let out a slow breath, nodding. “Right. Let’s do this.”
He still didn’t move.
