Months Later, After the Events of Parts 1 and 2, Bride of the Sea-King Alpha

It’s impossible to hold back tears. I squeeze Eolande just a little tighter, and she makes sweet cooing noises in my arms.

“You can come to the castle anytime you want to,” Lyra tells me. “You know that.”

I nod, trying to fight keep the sobbing at a minimum. “I know I’m being a babbling fool, but I’ve gotten used to being so close to this little one every day.”

“She loves you,” Lyra says. “She always will. I’ll bring her out to your new house as often as I can, I promise.”

Nodding again, I press back some of Eolande’s soft pink blanket so I can see her eyes again. “She looks so much like you, so beautiful.”
