Chapter 32. Rescue
Cassian POV
There she is.
I see her from across the ship, coming up from below deck near the stern. We lock eyes, even at this distance, and I can instantly feel her joy and elation, though it’s troubled with sorrowful grief.
I need to know why. I take the asshole I’m grappling with and throw him one-handed toward one of Kabir’s men and bolt toward her, pushing everyone else out of my way.
There’s another woman with her, no doubt also a prisoner on this ship for some reason, and Lyra is holding her hand. The woman looks beyond distraught.
