I don’t have time to think about what all the wild animals are doing or why they’ve agreed to fight on our behalf. I’m just glad they’re here. My warriors are approaching, but there’s no time to wait for them. We need to end this now and get the amulet back.

The weak wolves toward the back of the pack were easy to dispose of. It seemed as if they had no training at all, being too slow to react.

But these wolves, the ones protecting the pack with the amulet, are proving harder to dispatch. Without the extra help, it would have been a challenge for us to keep up. But now, Silanya, my guardsman, and I are holding our own.
