Chapter 52

Paige’s POV

After having our breakfast by evening, we settled into the living room and put on the TV.

"Do you think we should play some video games instead?" Gabriel asked. I shook my head.

I was waiting for him to sit beside me so I could cuddle with him. His body felt warm and I wanted more of his warmth. I so longed for him beside me that I wanted to cry. Whatever was happening to me is something that I don’t understand but now, I don’t think I can take a step away from this man.

"I don’t know how to play any video games,"

His eyes widened in surprise. Laughter kissed my lips but I held it in. I was actually surprised to see him surprised.

"Well, that makes two of us," He dropped the game console, and the laughter I’d been holding dropped out of my mouth. He sat beside me and watched as I laughed, a smile dancing on his lips.
