Chapter 67

Crystina's POV

I woke up this morning feeling sick and weak so I stayed back home instead of going over to school. When Miss Mary asked if anything was wrong, I told her I was totally fine, just not mentally ready for classes. I know I shouldn't have lied to her but I knew if I told her I was sick, she would be all over me and even inform Luka about it. It wasn't like I was dying but my body needed the rest.

"Are you feeling better?" Samer asked.

He had come to visit me at the packhouse after I was absent from school. He was supposed to be here together with Paige but Paige stopped at their apartment for a few minutes before she would meet us on the ground floor. I hadn't said anything since he arrived. We've been silent and I guess he got tired of the silence and decided to say something.

"Yeah, I'm good. I've been to the hospital and I've been told I'm good,"
