Luka's POV

My eyes followed Crystina as she walked away and for a few minutes, I contemplated following her but I stopped because she would probably tell me to fuck off if I did. She was unbelievably stubborn and I hope nothing happens to her tonight. The wolves were on patrol anyway so I guess she'll meet some of them on the way and they'll follow her back. I walked back into the house to see Luna Ruth and her daughter exchanged a smirk.

"I see you're finally getting out of her whims and lies, Alpha,"

I clenched my fist. I hadn't said anything to them because I was hoping the dinner would end peacefully but the heavens know they took it too far.

"I would be making a personal request to your husband to have you both called back to your pack by morning,"

"That's a deep sign of disrespect. You dare not do that, Luka, or else you'll be losing a lot of things,"

I folded my arm against my chest. "Good. Then, let's see who loses the most at the end,"
