"I'm sorry for holding up back when you want to leave. That's my fault. I promise to make it better as soon as possible,"

I held his gaze for a few seconds before I looked away. I don't understand what he meant by that or what was going through his head but for a moment, I decided against asking him.

I wasn't expecting him to go through the troubles of making such an elaborate arrangement for dinner. I’d thought it would be at a regular restaurant and we would discuss one or two issues. I was more than surprised when I came in and saw everything that he had done. I felt special, happy, and at the same time, taken aback. This is the first time such a thing will be happening.
