Chapter 57

Estefan's POV

The day has been so busy as Esteban and I had to go represent Dad in a meeting with all the state officials. Attending meetings like that was something I wouldn't do on a normal dad but Esteban begged to go with him because he didn't want to be alone with those old men. 

Sometimes, I wondered how he was going to cope when he becomes the King when he couldn't even attend a single meeting without me. He was also too carefree, soft-hearted, and trusted people easily. I knew those power-hungry officials would try to use his gentleness against me and push him around, but I made a promise to myself to protect him and his throne.

"Is Rhea still not talking to you?" Esteban asked as we got into his car to leave for the palace. 

"Yeah, and now she's avoiding me." I rolled my eyes as the driver drove out of the building.

"I heard from Anna that she spent the night in Esmeralda's room." He chuckled. "You know she doing this
