Chapter 139. Commander Ivan
~A day after Caspian’s return~
Commander Ivan marched through a path between two large crowds of soldiers gathered at his command, walking toward a large wooden platform that stood a few feet above the ground, held up by about twenty pillars of log. He walked three steps up to the top of the platform and walked to a red chair prepared for him at its center. Two soldiers wearing light armor only on vital areas stood at each side of the throne-esque chair, and a maid stood behind it with a large fan in her hands; her face was down, her eyes shut, and her pale-white robe and night-black hair were flowing in the gentle evening breeze.
The commander fell into his seat and leaned back into his backrest, letting out a sigh as the wind current generated by the fan whisked over his face. He shut his eyes and drew in a long breath, growing more and more absorbed into the comforting warmth of the seat’s cushions.
The crowd just stared quietly at the commander, waiting for him
