Chapter 152. Burning City
Caspian and Isaiah’s carriage bounced on and off the rocky road as their horse galloped at full speed, its dark brown mane flowing in the wind and the symphony of its hooves clopping against the ground echoing across the land. Caspian’s hair danced vigorously in the heavy wind that blew across his face as he whipped the horse’s reins again and again to make it move faster. His face was etched with worry, his brows furrowed and his teeth clenched.
“Caspian, what’s going on?!” Isaiah yelled. He pushed his palms against the walls of the cart, grimacing as he struggled to prevent getting thrown off.
“We have to get back to Selihelion quickly,” Caspian answered loudly. “Margaret and Nicholas are in danger.” His voice grew softer, and his eyes grew glassy.
“You can do whatever you want, Caspian. Just make sure no one gets hurt helping you achieve that goal of yours. If that happens, you’ll never be able to live with yourself.” Captain Argos’s last words to him resounded
