Chapter 69. True Knight
~Western city, Andreia. 100 years ago~
It was early in the morning. The chirping of the birds echoed throughout the city, and the sound of the soft, cold breeze that blew by was overshadowed by the loud murmuring of the people that had gathered at the market square.
Eleanor drew in a breath of the market air, taking a long whiff of the intoxicating fragrance that spread around from all the delicious street meals that were being prepared. She wore a dark brown dress that extended only a little below her knees and a red cloak to protect her from the early morning cold.
She also held two baskets, one containing a large amount of bread and the other containing ingredients for cooking.
“Thank you, sir,” Steven, who stood behind her in front of a fruit shop, said to the fruit seller as he collected a basket of fresh fruits and vegetables from him. He turned to Eleanor and found her staring intently at a street vendor who sold roasted sausages.
