Chapter 81. Sealed Fate
Moriah and I arrived at the house late at night in Lady Madelyn’s coach. The horses galloped steadily through the forest, the driver looking around to make sure we weren't being followed. As soon as the coach came to a halt, I and Moriah rushed out of the carriage, speed walking toward the front door as fast as we could. Our arms were around our shoulders, and our breaths, frozen as we shivered in the gradually intensifying cold.
We made it to the front door, and Moriah clicked it open. We both stepped in quickly to find Lady Madelyn, Rhys, and Mabel waiting for us in the living room. I let out a breath of satisfaction as the warmth of the room spread all around my body.
“What’s wrong?” Madelyn asked.
“It's getting colder outside. I didn’t think nights in Moon-World could get this cold,” Moriah answered. I rushed to grab a seat at the table and sat down, resting my elbows on the table and placing my palms on her head.
