Chapter 70. The Snatcher
The atmosphere became very tense after that. Keira chose to put the headset on her ear and sat quietly, staring at the clouds from the window. All her joints ached, her chest felt tight, and she could hardly breathe. She was really disappointed with what Ben had said earlier.
It wasn’t that she didn’t sympathize with Julia. Still, deep down, she knew that Julia was just trying to get Ben back to her because she knew how much he had loved her, and what was more important than that was how sensitive he was with anything to do with a suicide attempt.
Of course, he didn’t want any woman to end up like his mother, who was committing suicide for love. Soon, she heard footsteps approaching from the cockpit. She knew it must be, Ben, who had finished discussing with the pilot. He stopped some distance from her seat as if contemplating whether or not he should talk to her.
