Chapter 74. Highly Suspicious

There was no better word to describe Keira and Ben’s relationship other than a weird one. They both realized they loved each other but held back together because they knew things were not as easy as the romantic stories they’d read.

It was the fourth day after the accident, and her neck was still stiff, but slowly, she could move it again. What depressed her the most was her legs, which she couldn’t move at all, as if she had completely lost control of herself. What if she could never walk again?

That afternoon, she had just finished her lunch when a nurse came to show her the physiotherapy schedule.

“May I ask something?” asked Keira, looking at the nurse curiously.

“Yes, please?” said the nurse in a friendly intonation.

She fiddled with her fingers nervously, “Does physiotherapy always work for cases like mine? I mean, can I walk again? I mean for sure?” she dared herself to ask that question even though she was not ready to hear the answer.
