Samantha listened quietly. She couldn’t bring herself to like Suzy’s son. Curious, Grandpa Miller asked Samantha, “How did you end up with Mr. Steele? It’s been four years. Why did you come to see me only now?”

Samantha answered, “I’m now working as a cook at Mr. Steele’s house. If Mr. Steele hadn’t told me that you were sick, I wouldn’t have known, and I wouldn’t have come to see you.”
