Chapter 13. The Second Challenge

"Really? What's the second challenge?" Julian asked in a relaxed tone.

“This weekend, Mr. and Mrs. Evans will take Cayden to the night market. Come with them. When we meet there, I will tell you the challenge," the girl explained with a fierce look.

"Night market?" the CEO muttered while rolling his eyes. “Are you challenging me to ride the Ferris wheel?”

"Prepare your mental, Sir. I don't want CEO Quebracha's performance to be disrupted like last week. Now, excuse me. I have to work on a delayed agenda due to the behavior of a childish man.”

Without waiting for a reply, Mia turned and left the room. As soon as the door closed tightly, the girl held her chest and took a deep breath. Her eyes were tightly closed, giving the heart a chance to calm itself in the dark.

"Why can I soften like this? I almost lost control. Tsk, that can't happen again. Mister Julian is not someone I should expect," she whispered to her still beating fast heart.
