Chapter 18. Incident in Julian’s Room

“I remember what you said that night, Mia. Now, you don't have to deny anymore," Julian whispered.

Unable to hold back the embarrassment, the secretary bowed her head to the max. Tears were hanging down the cheeks. If her position wasn't at high altitude, she would have run away from Julian. But, they were locked in a cabin. The girl had no other choice but to admit defeat. Her stronghold had crumbled to nothing.

"So, you remember everything?" Mia muttered while holding back the rumbling in her lungs.

“Yes,” Julian nodded before taking a deep breath.

"Then why are you acting as if you don't remember?" the girl inquired in a hoarse voice.

In a moment of silence, the man replayed the memory. After a brief contemplation, he snorted. “Like you said, I am selfish and coward. At that time, the girl I wanted was Amber. I can't possibly reveal facts that could keep her away from me."
