"What else are you doing this time?" Max asked, successfully inviting a sigh of resignation from his brother.

After patting his younger brother on the shoulder and stroking his nephew's head, the man turned around without a word. He needed a lot of energy to secure the heart. Mia's shadow had managed to enter and create a thousand cracks in the walls. If it broke, Julian won't be able to feel love anymore.

"Mia, can't you just act normally?" Julian grumbled as the secretary placed the documents on his desk without a word.

“My apology, Sir. There's nothing to change. I feel normal," Mia said nonchalantly. "Now excuse me."

"I'm not comfortable if you continue to treat me like a stranger," Julian said with furrowed brows.
