Chapter 40. Like a Hungry Lion

"Why does Max make me stay at this hotel?" Gabriella asked suspiciously.

The butler who was preparing her nightgown shook her head.

"I just run the command. Now please, get changed."

Seeing the nightgown stretched out neatly on the bed, Gabriella's brows furrowed.

"My presence must be causing more trouble for you," she muttered before taking a deep breath. "I'm sorry, Auntie."

“What are you talking about? It is my duty to take care of your needs, Sweetie.”

Gabriella shook her head weakly. "I must have been a lot of trouble, especially, when I first arrived at Max's house."

The butler suddenly laughed and shook her head in exasperation.

“Do you still not know? At that time, no one was allowed to enter the Master's room. My job was only to deliver food and clothes."

"Just deliver?" the woman furrowed her brows. "Weren't you the one who cleaned my body and also changed my clothes?"

"No, but Mister Max. He did it a
