Extra II. Meet Grandpa Hunt
After a nod, Julian started to lead the way with Mia. Behind them, Gabriella walked with one hand carrying a small backpack and the other holding the fingers of a happily humming toddler. While in the final row, Max stepped alone with one backpack and two suitcases. Even so, he didn't seem to mind at all.
"Is that Grandpa Hunt's house?" Cayden asked as soon as he saw a white-walled building on higher ground surrounded by grass.
"Yes. Isn't the house very pretty?" Gabriella said, looking down at her son's face.
With redder round cheeks, Cayden nodded confidently. “Yes, and also very close to the horse house. I can take Ace crawling over there later."
Hearing the toddler's crazy idea, Julian suddenly turned around with wide eyes. "You can't do that, Little Prince. Grace's pants could have holes once she got there."
“We will choose the path on the grass. It won't hurt Ace's knees,” Cayden chimed in, still sticking with his plan.
Stifling a laugh
