Janet's sister, Alice, called the next morning around 10 AM.

"My sister said you wanted to talk to me about a job."

"Yes, you'd be doing the same thing as Janet does, making furniture. I'd like to speak to you about it."

"I don't know anything about making furniture or carpentry."

"Neither did Janet. You'll be trained. You start with simple things like sanding, staining and varnishing, then, as you become good at those things, we'll start you on the other skills you need, one at a time. The pay is pretty good and it's my intent as you get better for your pay to increase. You can go to a higher hourly wage, or receive a share of the profits.
