Chapter 7

Axel was the perfect example of falling for someone's soul before their skin because yeah he was handsome but I didn't truly love him until I saw the raging storm in his dark brown eyes and heard the sound of his laugh.

Meeting Axel was like listening to a song for the first time and knowing it would be my favorite.

"Popcorn or cotton candy?" Axel looked at me with raised eyebrows.

We were standing near the food stall and I could smell the tempting aroma of chips and popcorn. The fair we were currently at was something that recurred annually in our small town. Everyone attended the fair and it was very busy with teenagers and kids.

When I was younger, I used to prepare days in advance for the fair. New clothes, new shoes, and sleepless nights because of the excitement were all part of it.

"Give me both," Axel told the man after it took me too long to answer his question. "You didn't have to," I told him when he handed me both the popcorn and cotton
