Chapter 134. Brooklyn's Reaction

“Because you haven’t proposed or apologized for your behavior last night,” said Brooklyn, looking grumpy. Who marries at the drop of a hat? A girl has so many dreams where her marriage is concerned. She should at least get some time to prepare herself mentally.

“That’s it? I can solve that right away. I’m sorry for being so insensitive last night. So will you marry me, Brooklyn?” he asked with a dazzling grin on his face making Brooklyn roll her eyes at him.

“No,” she continued stubbornly, making his eyes widen.

“Hey, that’s not fair! I did what you asked me to do. Why can’t you marry me now?” he asked, looking desperate.

“I’m not ready as I don’t have a wedding dress, veil, accessories, shoes or anything. Neither have I painted my nails nor washed my hair. In fact, we haven’t even written our vows down. Who marries this way, huh?” she asked, looking mad.

Nikolas gaped at her for a minute and then a grin broke out on his face.
