Chapter 16
Deiseree’s POV
I didn’t sleep a blink all night. I stayed up, curled on my knees. I knew Eron was worried, but he chose not to say a word. When dawn came, the familiar sound of Yasser’s car echoed in my ears. I heard a couple of knocks on the door. I pulled myself up to open the door, but Cameron was already on his way. He opened the door and his face went from confused to annoyed upon seeing his unwanted visitor.
“What are you doing here?” Eron asked.
Yasser turned to me instead of answering his question. “Your brothers are safe. Sam just called me earlier this morning.”
“A-Are you sure they weren’t hurt?” I questioned, asking for reassurance.
“Yes.”
“Hey! I’m talking to you.”
He slightly shoved Eron out of the door and went towards me, slightly leaning down to match my height. “Samuel is a good fighter; he never loses. And didn’t he promise you that he’d give his life to protect you and your brothers in return for accepting my offer
