Chapter 15
Deiseree’s POV
I fixed my clothes and took a deep breath. I put aside all the things that had happened earlier in my mind because I didn’t want my brothers and Eron to worry when they came home later. I grabbed the key that my friend had lent me from the back pocket of my pants, but when I was about to open the lock, I was surprised.
I noticed that it wasn’t locked and the door of Eron’s house was still ajar, something that didn’t happen normally. For reasons unknown to me, I suddenly felt extremely anxious. The first thought that came to me was Luke and Chris. When I looked down, I saw a piece of paper lying on the opposite side of the door. My hands trembled as I picked it up.
Oh my God, not the thing I’m thinking about, please. I prayed in my mind while holding the paper tightly.
