Chapter 196

ALPHA ZADE

"Are you okay?" a soft feminine voice says as I feel a hand on my shoulder.

I jerk awake, breathing heavily. I blinked multiple times, looking around the room like a maniac.

There is a voice in my head, sounding panicked as fuck and it keeps repeating the same word over and over again. I can't make out what it is saying through the loud ringing in my head. Or was that the pounding of my heart?

The hand on my shoulder tightens and I feel myself being shaken.

"Listen," the same female voice urges. "Look at me. Look at me!" she demands, shaking me some more.

I look up, the voice going over every barrier in my head. Over the loud voices and the beating of my heart.

I open my eyes and I'm met with warm brown ones.

Feyre. My Feyre.

"Good. Now breathe in. Do it with me." The grip on my shoulder is almost bruising. I think I should tell her to release me but I'm lost in those eyes, that face.

Something doesn't feel right
