"It doesn't matter, I sincerely apologize for the lack of hospitality, I'll make sure it doesn't repeat itself," I wave my hand and thank him.
"I hope your second night here was comfortable."
His words make me think of his son's hands around my throat, pinning me to the door with his leg between my thighs. I guess comfortable is a stretch.
"Yes, good." I speak too quickly for it to be believable. Alpha Lucien studies me with scrutiny, only the years of training I've gone through helps me remain still on my feet and not squirm like I really want to.
"I went to my pack anyway, so it wasn't really anything." I reply, hoping that clears the awkward air.
The look he gives me tells me he knows and I laugh a little, asking myself why I was even worried. I wouldn't be surprised if he knew what happened with Alpha Zade either. Speaking of which, his next words give me pause.
