Chapter 138. Hate
Celia’s blushing face instantly turned as pale as snow. Rodney sneered and stated, “Tomorrow, I will go to the Black family and tell Mr. Black and Mrs. Black about our affairs in person.”
Deon held on to Rodney and they headed out to the car outside. Deon quickly started the car while Rodney undid the button on his collar and ordered Deon to turn on the air conditioning. But it didn’t lessen the heat in his chest.
When he came back to celebrate Rachel’s birthday, he hadn’t intended to stay overnight. Before he came, he told Deon that he must come pick him up at night. It wasn’t because he was afraid Rachel would play tricks on him, but rather he was worried about leaving Amber at home alone.
He hadn’t expected Rachel would have such a plan. At the dinner earlier, she made him drink even though she knew he had gastritis. It was clear she was up to something.
