Chapter 89. Just Like Her Mother
Rodney’s face darkened when Amber walked away without turning back. Celia said tearfully, “Rodney, go and get Amber. Talk to her. I’m fine.”
“Why should I? We didn’t do anything wrong!” Rodney helped Celia up. “I’ll take you to the hospital to treat the wound.”
While the doctor was treating Celia in the operation room, Rodney stood alone outside, feeling irked. How could Amber be so cruel? How could she be so heartless?
A surprised voice rang out from behind all of a sudden, “Rodney? Why are you here?”
Rodney turned around and saw that it was Itzel. Rodney then nodded politely and greeted her, “doctor Itzel, nice meeting you!”
“Rodney, I have something to check with you.” Itzel pulled Rodney aside. “I heard from your mother that you broke up with Celia. Is it true?”
Rodney nodded. “It’s true.”
“That’s good! That’s good! Then, I wouldn’t have to be worried anymore.” Itzel looked relieved.
