Chapter 92. What Is Going On Here?

“Amber, you’re back!” shouted Aunt Maleah. She was standing in a remote corner, watching the engagement ceremony in disdain when she noticed Amber. She ran towards Amber immediately.

“Where have you been for all these years? Why haven’t you come back to check on me?” Aunt Maleah’s voice choked.

Amber saw Aunt Maleah; and she, too, ran over excitedly. She stretched out her arms and hugged Aunt Maleah. When Amber was just a wisp of a girl, Aunt Maleah worked as a servant in the Black family. She had always been very good to Amber.

Shannon and Rachel also came over. When they saw Amber, Rachel’s first thought was that Amber was here to stir up trouble. She stood in front of Amber with an aggressive front. “Why did you come?”

Amber let go of Aunt Maleah and squinted at Rachel. “Excuse me, who are you in the Black family?”

“I…” Rachel’s face turned red. The contempt on Amber’s face agitated her. “Well, Celia’s my daughter-in-law, and this is her home!”
