Chapter 38. Love Rival

Clara was striding out of her apartment building as she was almost late for work when she suddenly bumped into someone. She gasped and looked up then she was met with an unfamiliar face.

"I'm so sorry, Miss. Are you okay? " the guy asked worriedly seeing that her forehead which bumped into his chest was slightly red.

Clara shook her head and replied hastily, "Yes, I'm fine." Then she quickly left while checking her wristwatch.

The guy stared at her back for some time before heading upstairs.

"Oh no, I can't believe I'm almost late." Clara quickly descended the stairs almost tripping. She remembered that she had been waiting for Carl's text and due to that, she slept late last night.

When she reached the entrance, she spotted a familiar car parked at the side of the street. Her expression softened immediately and she heaved a sigh of relief. "Today's my lucky day I guess," she muttered happily and skipped towards the car.
