Brandon moved toward Hannah, his steps slow but determined. Then, without hesitation, he dropped to one knee before her.

“Hannah, I know I’ve hurt you in ways I can never take back,” he said, his voice low, almost pleading. “I know words aren’t enough to make up for everything, but please… just give me a chance to prove to you how sorry I am.” His eyes held a desperation she hadn’t seen before, raw and unfiltered.
