Brandon’s Hotel Room

Brandon paced the room, his mind racing as he went over Michael’s words again. Bernardo’s daughter was married to a senator’s son. That was a weakness they could exploit.

At the same time his thought was filled with his brother, he had sent him a message that he found something and he's been trying to call him but he wasn't answering his phone call. 

Brandon wondered if Bernardo’s men had gotten to him. He ran his hands across his hair, a worried look plastered on his face.

Suddenly, his phone buzzed.

Lucas.

He answered immediately. “Tell me you’re still alive.”

Lucas’s breath was heavy on the other end. “Barely. They knew I was coming.”

Brandon clenched his jaw. “Are you crazy? How could you just go over like that because of a message you received! you would have been dead!” Brandon yelled over the phone.
