Chapter 19

The sound of her doorbell ringing woke her up, and Anna stretched and yawned as she stood to answer it.

“Who could that be?” she mumbled, scratching her leg as she walked out of her room and to the front door.

She peeked through the peephole and saw that it was Justin. She opened the door and let him in. “Why hello, what a nice surprise. What brings you over here?”

“I figured out what you should call your restaurant, except it doesn’t work if it’s a restaurant, so I think you should make it a diner.”

She blinked, still a little groggy from sleep. “Huh?”

He looked at her and realized she’d just woken up, so he told her to go wash her face. She softly padded away to the bathroom.

He headed to the kitchen to make her some warm beverage when the doorbell rang again. She beat him to the door and opened it. It was the mailman. “Oh, hello, Johnny,” was the last thing Justin heard before she stepped out and closed the door.
