Chapter 29. Underwater Love

Jax’s POV

“Mate,” I whimpered desperately as I watched Dad Zarek and Kai walk in.

“She is doing fine, son,” Dad Zarek cooed as he sat next to me while tears streamed down my face. “She is just sleeping right now,” he gently said.

“Don’t cry, Jax. Zara is doing great,” Kai assured me but I could not stop myself from crying on rewinding the ghastly scene when I saw my mate stabbed and surrounded by 20 dragons.

“Dragons?” I managed to breathe out in between my sobs.

Kai immediately hugged my head as he settled himself on my bed and cradled me in his lap like he used to do earlier when I used to be distressed.

“They are dead now, Jax. I made sure that they were given the best journey to the gates of hell,” Kai answered and I smiled at that.

I am sure he must have given them the worst death possible.
