“What do you mean by she just fled?” I asked as I watched Ingrid tend to a nurse’s broken arm which healed immediately due to her wolf’s healing powers and the medicine Ingrid applied.

“I was giving her, her medicine when she came back to consciousness but she suddenly attacked me and ran away from the room’s window after shifting,” the mentioned nurse explained. “Also, she said that she will come back to avenge her lover’s death and that the whole pack that cheered for his death will burn along with you,” the nurse nervously continued.

“Oh God! This is bad. So so so bad,” I sighed while pinching my nose and closing my eyes shut.

“Don’t worry babe,” my mate’s deep and gentle voice floated in as he enveloped me in his embrace from behind. “We will figure this out together,” he husked while pampering me with his spark inducing kisses.
