Chapter 37. True Mates

Jax’s POV

“Don’t tell me that you sent my mate to a fucking suicide mission,” I growled as I held Kai by his collar while glaring at him a murderous gaze.

“I fucking didn’t,” Kai growled back. “She flew off on her own accord. She did not want the pack warriors to lose their life,” he scoffed but then he could not hold it anymore and broke down crying. “Please get her back. I can’t take it anymore,” he sobbed and I instantly hugged him to calm him down.

“Don’t worry, Kai. She will be fine,” I coaxed. “I am going to get her along with the army, ok?” I cooed before looking at Ty who was busy commanding the warriors of our pack.

Kai nodded meekly and Ty looked at him with worried eyes.

“Babe. Stop worrying so much and stop drowning yourself in guilt,” Ty said with a sigh.

“I asked her to take her position seriously and she ended up doing this. This is all my fault,” Kai sobbed and I hugged him even tighter to myself to let him calm down.
