Chapter 43. Sextuplet Beta Chaos

Joy’s POV

“Hey trouble!” Kai tried to candidly approach in my direction, following my scent but backed off when Dante stepped between us on the staircase as he stepped down towards Kai.

The hunt had taken longer than necessary and it would have taken even longer if Dante had not killed a deer and forced me to eat it.

We had only an hour or two left to join Lex’s birthday bash and I was just not in the mood to go.

“Don’t make me choose sides, Kai,” Dante sternly said as Kai tried to pass by him. “You know the Alpha-Beta rules of the pack,” he reminded.

What was the rule, you ask?

Every Beta had to follow their Alpha’s direct order or command, even before their mates.

If the rule was broken, the Alpha could dismiss the Bet
