Chapter 118. Reeling Him In
Edward’s hands trembled so violently that he nearly dropped the phone. For a few seconds, his tongue locked to the roof of his mouth, and all that came out were short, ragged, disbelieving breaths that scraped through his chest like broken glass. His entire body shook with a relief so overwhelming it bordered on pain.
“Rosie…” he finally whispered, saying her name as if it were something sacred. “Tell me I’m not dreaming again.”
On the other end, Myla closed her eyes. Her chest tightened at the way the obsession and desperation in his voice echoed through the loudspeaker.
