Chapter 12. The Invitation

Luna Asterbelle's POV

My eyes widened in fear of what Jerome had done to me in the past, which I no longer have memory of. The way he spoke seemed like he was able to experience a lot of things together with me. "W-what are you trying to say?" I asked in such a soft voice. I saw how the scar on my palm was slowly fading away. Its pain was kind of bearable, but it still stings.

"The texture of your blood tells me that you’re not just a mere human and not just a mere werewolf. Could it be that the rumor during your debut was true—that you share the blood of a vampire?" Jerome replied while wiping off the excess blood on his lips.

"You… Why did you taste my blood? Don’t you know that it could seriously harm you, or worse, kill you?" I chose to ignore his statement when I felt unsteady.

Just right on cue, I noticed how he almost fell to the ground. "I-I don’t need your pity, Luna Asterbelle." Jerome rolled his eyes like a woman, which made me think that he’s real
