“But please mom, don't let my mates know.” I brought my palms together, pleading. 

I didn't let them know when I went to the hospital and if I got the chance, I wouldn't let them know when I'm getting the surgery but it will only be better this way if it's successful. “They can't lose me without having to say goodbye!” I broke down in tears as I imagined this.
