Genevieve’s POV

I got out of the cab and walked into the grocery store holding the list of things Mum wanted me to get. I wondered why she didn’t get them herself. I was already so tired from the intense training. I sighed and picked up a cart as I began to get the things she wanted. I suddenly heard something behind me and I glanced back but there was nobody there. Was it all in my head? I thought about turning back to what I was doing. My senses were heightened more than usual these days.

It must be due to my training. Dad had been putting so much work into teaching me and I noticed some differences. I was now stronger and faster. He told me if I could become stronger than Ravenna, I would be able to stop her from taking over my body and I would be able to control her.
