Chapter 115. Falling Apart

Audrey’s POV

I got down from my car with my head held up high. I was well aware that the internet was on fire because of the news about me and my family but regardless, that wouldn’t stop me from making an appearance in school. That was exactly what they all longed for, to see me helpless and weak but that wasn’t going to happen anytime soon. Immediately I entered the hallway and the chatters died down. I could feel the eyes on me and hear hushed whispers. It wasn’t something I wasn’t used to. I was always the center of attention and the topic of discussion all my life. In fact, this was going better than I had imagined.

I had barely finished the thought in my head when someone bumped into me. It was definitely on purpose. The hallway was wide enough to accommodate lots of people at the same time but she deliberately bumped into me.
