I didn’t want to jump to a conclusion so soon. It would be better if I confirmed properly. I hurriedly picked up my phone from the floor. "Are you sure there’s no mistake somewhere?" I asked anxiously.

"I’m certain ma’am," she replied.

"Why don’t you check? His name is Luke Gonzales. It might not have been eighteen years ago. Can you please double-check? For the sake of clarity?" I pleaded.

"If you insist ma’am. Give me a minute," she answered.

"Thank you. Take all the time you need. I will be waiting," I replied occasionally glancing at the door to make sure no one was listening in on my conversation while waiting nervously. Whatever information I get next will determine my next step.
