Chapter 31

She looked around the party venue and everywhere she could think of but there was no trace of Gu Yanxi. Other attendees of the party were dancing away their worries. No one knew what was happening. 

She took out her phone and called Gu Yanxi but she wouldn't answer her phone. Emily panicked all the more.

Had someone taken her away? Or has that guy she was with probably kidnapped her?

Was she okay where she was? 

Was she in danger?

What if she was having a very difficult time?

"Do I have to be so negative? She will definitely be fine wherever she is," she said to herself trying her best to pull herself together. She looked at her time and saw it was almost time for Liam's caretaker to leave. They had only hired her for a while as they hoped to return early from the party. 

She took one last careful look around the hall, called Gu Yanxi's number again before she decided to hope for the best and go home.
