“Sit still, Alpha. There’s no first aid box here, and the servants are still asleep, so I’ll just have to make do with just cleaning the wound. Thankfully, it’s a small cut.”

“We can wake the servants to get us the first aid box.”

“That would be disturbing them over a trivial issue. Let’s not do that.”

“They’re paid to do jobs of any kind, trivial or not.”

“They’re people too and can get tired. Allow them their needed sleep.”

“Hm.”

He stared at me as I dabbed at his cut with a damp cloth.

“What is it, Alpha?”

“Nothing.”

“It’s not nothing if it’s got you staring at me like that.”

“It’s just that you’ve changed. I couldn’t believe you did that to Luna, and you threatened me.” He chuckled at that.

“It surprises you?”

“Undoubtedly. Why though?”

“Why what?”

“Why did you attack the Luna?”

“She attacked you. She was behaving crazy and hurting you in the process. It k
